5 ways to destress after a long work week

It's the weekend! Grab a seat at the local craft brewery and .... yeah, It's been a long week.
All too often, alcohol finds its way into our idea of decompressing after a long week working that 9 to 5 pension promising job that leaves us drained. I've come up with a few alternatives to explore:
1) Bake a cake. Hardly not the same as that creamy brew and stagnant wood blending with floral perfumes wafting in the air ... but better. Why?
2) Hit the beach, go for a swim. Okay, not fair for those not within striking range of crisp waves recharging the soul as you glide along their crests on the coolest board you've waxed over the last 10 years. So ...
3) Go for a hike!
4) Hit the gym ... if you're a gym rat you know why this helps. For everyone else, you'll find out!
5) Two wheel madness: whether using pure strength and endurance to turn those wheels, or a muscular v-twin, cruising on two wheels gives you everything you need to get through the next week.
Whatever you choose to do, you have to connect with the activity. Otherwise, boredom sets in and it contaminates your existence and you end up feeling drained. Your decompression strategies can use elements of social interaction, creative effort, sensory experience. You can always add on an altruistic component and:
6) Volunteer at the beach cleanup, church spaghetti dinner, soup kitchen, or wherever else ... your karmic recharging will likely be exponential!
